BBQ Beans

In this recipe, canned dark red kidney beans, canned lima beans, canned butter beans, and canned pork and beans are combined together. The result is an ultimate beans dish. To flavor the beans and bring it to harmony ketchup, mustard, brown sugar and vinegar are also mixed together to make a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce. Ingredients
8 slices bacon
2 medium onions
1 can (15 oz.) dark red kidney beans, drained
1 can (15 oz.) lima beans, drained
1 can (15 oz.) butter beans, drained
1 can (15 oz.) pork and beans
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup ketchup
2 tbsp. dry mustard
2 tbsp. white vinegar

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cut bacon into 1-inch pieces. Chop onion. In a large skillet sauté bacon and onion together until bacon is transparent for 5-10 minutes.

2. While the bacon is cooking, mix the beans together in a bowl then pour into a greased casserole dish.

3. Mix together in a small bowl, sugar, ketchup, mustard and vinegar.

4. Pour bacon and onions over top of beans in casserole dish when bacon is cooked. Cover with ketchup mix. Then bake, uncovered, for 1 1/2 hours.
