Better than Onions Rings for Pork Chops

Although some foods work quite well alone others such as pork and apples tend to impeccably complement each other and produce an exceptionally delicious and tasty delicacy. This combination is actually a pretty old and classic delicate blend that was used by many cooks in the past due to its unmatched benefits. Today this dish is usually used as a classic meal for lunch or dinner while accompanied by an appropriate salad. While looking for a truly fantastic dining experience at home you can use this easy and straightforward recipe that essentially combines pork chops, with pepper, sage, cinnamon, apple rings and even sugar to create a truly mouthwatering feast for your family.

Ingredients

4 pork chops, about 1 in. thick
Sea salt
Freshly ground pepper
Ground sage
1 red apple, cored and sliced into ¼ in. thick circles
Cinnamon
Granulated sugar

1) Preheat the broiler.

2) Prepare the pork chops by washing them thoroughly and patting them dry. When ready season with salt, pepper and a little sage to taste.

3) Place the seasoned pork chops 4 inches from the broiler element and broil for 6 minutes. Turnover and broil for another 6 minutes.

4) Meanwhile sprinkle the apple rings with a little sugar and cinnamon, then wait until about 4 minutes before the pork chops are done and carefully place the rings on the broiler rack.

5) Once done remove from the broiler and serve while still hot on a platter accompanied by an appropriate vegetable salad.
