Jamies Coffee Punch

Coffee punch is a fabulous party idea if you need to feed and entertain 20 people or more. This is a simple dessert recipe as long as you have all the ingredients at hand. To make a rich and luxurious coffee punch that will make your guests go back to the punch bowl again and again, all you need are simple ingredients namely, coffee, sugar, whole milk, vanilla ice cream and chocolate ice cream.

While this delicious dessert drink recipe suggests you use instant coffee for convenience, you can also use freshly brewed coffee. Instead of using a cup of water and two tablespoons instant coffee, use a cup of rich and dark freshly brewed coffee or espresso if you want an intense punch that will stimulate your guests and keep the party and conversation going.

Reminiscent of those rich, creamy and frothy iced coffee frappes or lattes sold in coffee shops, this coffee punch is sure to be a hit among your coffee loving friends. If you’re having a dinner party and alcohol is no objection, you can spike this with some rum or whisky for the ultimate party drink that can be the centerpiece to a fun cocktail.

While this is not the healthiest drink and should be served only on special occasions, this version of a luscious coffee punch is quite unforgettable and a real pick-me-up that your guests will have a hard time forgetting. Place the coffee punch in a pretty punch bowl and serve really cold. Ladle it into cups and serve to your guests. If you want something as cool as those served by baristas in coffee shops, top the monstrous punch with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg. Better yet, place the whipped cream, shaved chocolate, syrup, and ground spices beside the punch bowl so that guests can help themselves and dress up the punch as sinfully as they prefer.
