Iced coffee is a double coffee recipe that will give you a buzz and at
the same time feel refreshing and perfect for hot summer days. For lethargic
days and lazy afternoons this drink will give you an instant boost of energy
alongside you favorite
gourmet recipe. Coffee ice cubes is used in this ice coffee instead of ice
cubes made of water so the drink won’t get diluted as it melts. Instead, as the
ice cubes melt the coffee flavor will even deepen!
Use freshly brewed coffee from freshly roasted beans that have been
ground just before brewing for superior results. The taste of the drink will be
determined by the quality of the beans you use. Good quality coffee will make a
sumptuous drink. Bad rancid coffee will result in terrible tasting iced coffee.
To sweeten the drink this recipe also uses sugar making a delicious dessert drink after a heavy meal. It can
serve as a light dessert or treat. Top it with whipped cream or even vanilla,
chocolate or coffee ice cream to make a float to make it even more delectable.
Combined with coffee caramel or mocha ice cream also works.
After brewing the coffee to make the ice cubes, allow it to come to
room temperature before placing it in the ice cube tray and placing in the
freezer. The stronger the brew the better to make a rich and robust drink that
will keep you energized throughout the day. It’s great to have cubes of coffee
in the freezer so you can whip up this iced coffee drink anytime of the day or
the week you feel like a refreshing drink. This also makes a great drink to
serve to guests, or when you have people who come to your place unexpected. For
a string coffee flavor, brew the coffee twice, placing the first brew in the
machine and allowing it to drip a second time.
